The most common questions I get asked about would be kids clothes….
Do you have a capsule wardrobe?
How many clothes do you have?
How do you store them?
What do you keep for future babies?
Etc…
Today I’m going to show you how we store our clothes in the kids closets! At the time I’m writing this it is the end of summer and pretty much all our summer clothes have been well used. I have already had to get rid of some because of stains/ rips etc (Just keep that in mind). We don’t do a capsule wardrobe because I don’t want to feel limited. We don’t have a lot of clothes, but I want to be able to go get a cute outfit or two for an event and not feel guilty about “breaking the rules”. If you struggle with over buying and are really trying to cut down on the clothes you have, then I would recommend a capsule wardrobe. Try it for awhile until you feel more comfortable about the amount of clothes you have and can control the impulse purchases, then re-evaluate! With that being said I’ll go more in depth on what we exactly have in a later post! This post is all about storage!

This is my boys closet, all three of them share this room/ closet. The way it works is they each get two baskets…..
Holds all their socks, underwear, & Pjs
Holds their everyday shirts & pants
Their nice clothes get hung, and thats it. It’s super simple and they can find everything themselves!

Here is my daughters closet….
She has “bigger” clothes so she has more than two bins, but its the same basic idea!
Pjs
Shirts
pants
The wood crates hold underwear and socks. The two pink boxes on the bottom have her shoes.
It doesn’t have to be complicated! I call it my unorganized organization. They don’t have a lot of clothes so I can basically just throw it all in the boxes and be done! There is no perfectly folded clothes, no overstuffed drawers to worry about, and no stress or hassle when it comes to getting dressed!
Side note: These baskets with the handles are my ABSOLUTE favorite!! Here is the link if you want to check them out! https://amzn.to/31QGBWy
