$15.00 Painted Countertops!
Let’s talk DIY. . .
Our main bathroom has always been the space I hated the most in our house! We had plans to renovate it, but I couldn’t wait that long so I found my own way to “reno” it!
Pleasantly surprised with how it turned out would be an understatement. \
The countertop was my biggest worry when we started I thought for sure we would have to replace it( and before we move again we might) but I am SHOCKED with how well this turned out and how EASY it was to do!

This is the before….clearly not the best!
I went back and forth with what I wanted to use but in the end, I went with this appliance epoxy paint. I got it on amazon and it was the same price as everywhere else!
The process itself was super easy!!!!!!
It’s basically painted on so the application is pretty straight forward… but ill share my best tips when using it!
Tips
Make sure you have a mask or are in a very well ventilated area. It’s oil-based paint and this stuff is STRONG!
Use painters tape around the drain plug/ faucet.
Small sections at a time. The lighter the coat the better, you’ll probably reapply 3-4 times but thick coats are not your friend. You can/should reapply before it fully dries for the best results.
You have less worktime than regular paint. work in small sections and get them perfect before moving onto the next section.
Give it the full cure time! Especially if you are going to be using water with it. Let the last coat dry for the full 24 hours!
That’s basically everything! super easy with a huge payoff! Do keep in mind soap and water won’t be able to clean your brushes though because it’s oil-based.
Here are a few process pictures. We do plan on getting a new drain plug but it just hasn’t happened yet. When we do I’ll use a small artist brush to touch up around it!
I would love to help you out if you have any questions! If you do try it I want to see it, so please share!! Make sure to follow along on Instagram for more tips & ideas!
I hope you have a great day!
